WELCOME! YOUR HEALTH IS OUR PRIORITY
The Prinsenschool is a group of (para)medical organisations and practices in the center of Amsterdam.
These (para)medical organisations and practices work independently, but also in unison which is beneficial for your healthcare. Our common consensus is hospitality, so that everybody feels welcome. To celebrate this mutual connection, the original name of the building has been restored, namely the “Prinsenschool”. A name which respects the history of the building as all these healthcare workers “school” together in the heart of Amsterdam.
We are inspired and enjoy working on improving your health, answering your questions or advising you on any health-related problems within our capacity. In short, we aspire to provide healthcare that we would like to receive ourselves.
Prinsenschool ‐ The Prinsenschool, N.Z. Voorburgwal 282 was closed on the first of August 1981. In 1853, the school (named after the teacher/educator “Prinsen”) was originally situated in a house on the Herengracht. The school then moved to the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 284, next to a boys only school, the “Brederodeschool”. In 1957, the Prinsenschool finally moved to the building of the former Sint Louis-ULO School at Spuistraat 239. Unfortunately, due to the depopulation of the city centre the school was later closed. In 2015 The Building Allocation Plan was changed to medical services and it is now utilised by several different medical organisations and practices.
